This Pricing Policy explains how Trade Magnet (Modll Pty Ltd, ABN 79 639 342 484) prices and bills its services. It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. Where a signed proposal or service agreement differs from this policy, that agreement prevails.
1. All prices include GST
Every price we publish, quote or estimate is in Australian dollars (AUD) and is inclusive of GST unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. The figure you see on a plan card or estimate is the figure you pay. Tax invoices are issued for all payments.
2. Every job is two parts
Most engagements are priced in two parts:
- The build (one-off). A one-time fee for the work we design and deliver.
- The ongoing plan (monthly). A recurring fee that keeps what we built hosted, monitored, updated and supported.
The two are separate. Paying for a build does not include ongoing hosting or support, and an ongoing plan does not include new build work beyond what the plan describes.
3. Estimates are indicative, not quotes
Our instant estimate tool and any "from" prices are indicative only. They are a guide to help you plan, not an offer or a fixed quote. A binding price is only created once we have scoped your work and issued a written proposal that you accept. Final pricing depends on the scope, integrations, complexity and infrastructure your project actually requires.
4. Build payment terms
- Standard builds (automation, websites, integrations) are billed 50% to start and 50% on completion.
- Custom software is milestone-based: a deposit to begin, then payments tied to agreed milestones scoped with you.
- Custom software is not fixed-price. Because each build is bespoke and runs on its own infrastructure, custom pricing is determined at scoping rather than shown as a set figure.
Work begins once the deposit or first instalment is received.
5. Ongoing plans
Our ongoing plans are three mutually exclusive lanes. You sit in one lane, and the higher lane absorbs the lower (a custom client does not also pay for website hosting):
- Website Hosting for a hosted, custom-built site.
- Automation Care for hosting, monitoring and support of your automations.
- Custom for a dedicated server sized to your application, priced at scoping.
Plans are billed in advance. Plan fees cover what the plan describes (hosting, uptime monitoring, updates and reasonable small changes). Significant new features or scope are quoted separately as build work.
6. Annual billing
Plans can be paid monthly or annually. Pay annually and you get two months free (you pay for ten months, get twelve). Annual payments are made in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law (see Refunds below).
7. Pass-through and usage costs
Some costs are passed through to you at, or close to, cost rather than bundled into a plan. These include (without limitation) SMS and email send volumes, third-party platform subscriptions and licences, domain registration, and metered cloud or AI usage. We will tell you where a cost is passed through. Usage-based costs vary with how much you use the service.
8. Dedicated infrastructure (Custom)
Custom plans run on a dedicated server (VPS) provisioned for your business, for security and traffic isolation. The size, and therefore the price, is set at scoping based on what your application needs to run (integrations, message volumes, database load). As your needs grow, the plan may be adjusted with notice.
9. Price changes
We may review and adjust plan pricing from time to time. For existing clients we will give at least 30 days' written notice before a recurring price change takes effect. One-off build prices are fixed in the accepted proposal and do not change unless the scope changes (a variation), which we will price and confirm with you before proceeding.
10. Late or failed payments
Recurring plans renew automatically until cancelled. If a payment fails or an invoice is overdue, we may pause or suspend the affected services after reasonable notice, and reconnection may attract a fee. Hosting and monitoring depend on the plan being current.
11. Cancellation
You can cancel an ongoing plan at any time with reasonable written notice, and it will end at the close of your current billing period. We do not pro-rata refund the remainder of a paid period. Cancelling a plan may affect the hosting, monitoring or support of what we built for you.
12. Refunds
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where a service is not delivered as agreed, you may be entitled to a remedy. Outside those rights, build deposits and paid plan periods are generally non-refundable because the work and infrastructure are committed in advance. If something has gone wrong, talk to us first.
13. Questions
If anything about a price or invoice is unclear, contact us before you pay and we will walk you through it:
